The Las Vegas Raiders continued their hot streak on Sunday after beating the Los Angeles Chargers 27-20. Defensive End, Chandler Jones had a big game for the Raiders defense with three sacks in the first half. He also stopped Chargers Quarterback Justin Herbert short of the sticks on a 4th down and batted down a pass. The offense did not skip a beat with another 100-yard rushing game from Running Back Josh Jacobs and another 100-yard receiving game from Super Star Wide Receiver, Davante Adams, to go along with two touchdowns as well.

With this win, the Raiders go into Los Angeles on a 3-game winning streak and have a big showdown with the Super Bowl Champion Rams on Thursday. On Tuesday, the Rams claimed former Carolina Panthers Quarterback, Baker Mayfield, off waivers. With Quarterback, Matthew Stafford on injured reserve, and John Wolford nursing a neck injury, only leaving Bryce Perkins as the only other healthy option on the roster, Baker has a chance to start on Thursday. “Yeah, I’m not sure the systems that he’s been in, the terminology and all that kind of stuff,” Carr said when he was asked if he thought Baker had a chance to play this week. “There are some systems that you could possibly do that and all those things. More power to him, but I’m focused on their defense because their defense is pretty good.”

As the Raiders still hope to make the playoffs, they understand how important Thursday’s game is after a slow start at the beginning of the season. “Man, to be honest, for us, it’s important because it’s our next game. And because of the way that we didn’t win certain games early on in the season, every next game is the most important. And so, for us, it’s this week’s game; it’s a new challenge. Like you said, defending champs, stars all over the field on their side of the football. And so, it’s a tough challenge for us, but it’s what I’m excited about. Our fans usually travel well to LA, so I’m excited about that.”
