It’s officially the first week of the 2020 Fantasy Playoffs! There are still some potential contributors available in your free agencies. If you have a bye week, still take note here as you prepare for your next week’s matchup. Keep in mind, we have another weird week as the Ravens take on the Cowboys tonight for Tuesday Night Football. This means that waivers won’t process until Thursday morning.
Other Notables:
- (WR) Cam Sims – Washington Football Team (>1 percent owned)
- (WR) Collin Johnson – Jacksonville Jaguars (>1 percent owned)
- (RB) Ty Johnson – New York Jets (2 percent owned)
- (WR) Keke Coutee – Houston Texans (27 percent owned)
- (QB) Philip Rivers – Indianapolis Colts (40 percent owned)
- (RB) Adrian Peterson – Detroit Lions (48 percent owned)
(WR) Tim Patrick – Denver Broncos (21 percent owned)
Let’s be real; Patrick, nor any other receiver for the Broncos, had a true chance to score any fantasy points a week ago. Now that Lock is back as the starting quarterback, Patrick will see plenty of targets once again. The speedy, break-out, receiver has recorded four straight double-digit fantasy outings with Lock as his signal-caller. In those four games, he has produced 17 receptions for 253 yards, three touchdowns and 60.3 PPR fantasy points. He could serve as a viable flex option, or you could place him on your bench as a precautionary player. Either way, submitting a waiver claim for him is a necessity at this point.
(TE) Logan Thomas – Washington Football Team (40 percent owned)
Tight ends have been hit-or-miss this season unless you have Travis Kelce on your roster. With that being said, Thomas has looked strong as of late, and he could become a consistent option for your team just in time for the playoffs. Alex Smith seems to have grown a strong connection with his big target as they have connected 13 times in their last two games combined. Last night’s win over the Steelers was their best game together so far. Thomas caught all nine of his targets for 98 yards and a touchdown as he produced 24.8 PPR points. This performance was good enough to place him as the TE3 of week 13 (pending tonight’s game). If the big-bodied tight end is available, he could benefit your team tremendously as you look to go deep into your playoffs.
(WR) T.Y. Hilton – Indianapolis Colts (45 percent owned)
Is T.Y. Hilton back? He certainly looked dominant this past weekend as he torched the Houston Texans for eight receptions, 110 yards and a touchdown. Fun fact, this was Hilton’s first 100-yard performance of the season. Actually, it was the first time he topped 100 yards since December, 23 of the 2018 season. The veteran wide-out had been quiet all year until last week. Now, he is going into week 14 looking to extend his streak of more than 18 PPR fantasy points to three games. We all know what he is capable of, and it wouldn’t hurt to submit a waiver claim for the former pro-bowl receiver. He might even turn out to become a “must-start” for this weekend’s matchup against the Raiders.
(RB) Cam Akers – Los Angeles Rams (53 percent owned)
If you lacked running back depth all season and Akers is available in your free agency, you need to stop reading right now and submit a waiver claim for the rookie. He has been on fire the past two weeks as he clearly has taken over as Sean McVay’s top ball-carrier in his offense. In weeks 12 and 13, Akers has produced a total of 30.8 PPR points. He has out-touched both Darrell Henderson Jr. and Malcolm Brown 31-15-9 in that order. It’s safe to say that the rookie will more than likely lead the running back group in touches for the rest of the season.
(WR) Cole Beasley – Buffalo Bills (58 percent owned)
Beasley had the best first half of his career last night against San Francisco. If you looked at the box score at halftime, it showed that Beasley had already caught seven passes for 113 yards and a touchdown. He ended the day with nine catches for 130 yards, which was good enough for 28 PPR points. His performance placed him as the WR3 of week 13 (so far). This was the third time the slot receiver had topped 20 PPR points this season. He’s averaging an impressive 14.54 PPR points per game even though he is only rostered in 58 percent of Yahoo Leagues. If you miss out on the dynamic receiver this week, you will likely miss out entirely because his rostered percentage should sky-rocket once Thursday morning hits.
