I will be using this page to list many (but not all) of the rumors I have heard regarding the draft. This page will be updated with new rumors every few days until draft day.

3/1

  • Would not be surprised at all if Mac Jones went before Trey Lance (Peter King, NBC Sports) 

3/2

  • Trey Smith, Jamin Davis, Jackson Carman, and Aaron Robinson are potential surprise First Round picks (Charlie Campbell, WalterFootball)
  • Travis Etienne Jr. has a 50/50 chance of going in Round 1 (Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network)

3/6

  • Pittsburgh will likely target a QB early, the name most commonly popping up being Kyle Trask (Jason La Canfora, CBS Sports)

3/17

  • 4 QBs will be drafted within the first 6/7 picks, “take it to the bank” (Adam Schefter, ESPN)
  • Very good possibility Falcons go QB at 4 (Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network)

3/18

  • [Nick] Bolton will very likely go on Day 2 (Charlie Campbell, WalterFootball)

3/20

  • A trade down is a growing possibility for Denver (Jeff Legwold, ESPN)

3/22

  • Patrick Surtain II likely the first CB taken (Albert Breer, Sports Illustrated)
  • DeVonta Smith over Ja’Marr Chase for Dolphins (Benjamin Allbright)

3/24

  • [Jaycee] Horn will go in the top 15 picks (Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network)
  • Can’t see [Caleb] Farley going ahead of Surtain II or Horn anymore (Daniel Jeremiah, NFL Network) 

3/25

  • [Rashawn] Slater will probably be picked in the top half of Round 1, most likely picks 10-15 (Dane Brugler, The Athletic)
  • Giants will take DeVonta Smith, if he is there at 11 (Matt Lombardo)
  • Kellen Mond will probably be the 6th QB off the board, most likely in Rd 2 (Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network)

3/26

  • Patriots have made calls about moving up to pick 4 or 5 (Jeff Howe, The Athletic)
  • Dolphins and Steelers love [Najee] Harris, and the Bills have also jumped into the race to get him as well (Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network)
  • SF very likely moved up for Lance (Benjamin Allbright, Lance Zierlein, Dane Brugler, Kyle Brandt)

3/29

  • Cincinnati will likely pick Chase at 5 (Peter King, NBC Sports; Albert Breer, Sports Illustrated) 

3/31

  • Thinks Atlanta will pick [Kyle] Pitts at 4 (Benjamin Allbright)
  • [Dillon] Radunz getting a lot of late Round 1 buzz (Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network)
  • [Justin] Fields’ floor is 4th overall, and he could even go 3rd (Trey Wingo, ESPN)
  • Kelvin Joseph will probably go between picks 27-35 (Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network)

4/1

  • Media says Jones for SF, but he keeps hearing Lance (Benjamin Allbright)
  • Richie Grant will be the first Safety drafted (Eric Galko)

4/2

  • A majority of people in the NFL are saying SF moved up to 3 for Fields (Charlie Campbell, WalterFootball)
  • Patriots looking hard to get a WR1 in this draft; looking at Smith and [Jaylen] Waddle (Greg Bedard)
  • The Saints are looking at Kyle Trask to be Drew Brees’ replacement (Jeremy Fowler, ESPN)
  • It’s possible [Gregory] Rousseau falls out of Round 1; many teams have a Day 2 grade on him (Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network)

4/5

  • Atlanta could go Pitts or OT but, right now, his guess is Lance (Peter King, NBC Sports) 
  • [Penei] Sewell, Pitts, top CBs all in play for Carolina (Joe Person, The Athletic)
  • Farley and Rousseau could slide out of Round 1 (Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network)
  • Carolina likely traded for Darnold because SF is picking Jones (Jim Nagy, Senior Bowl President)
  • Some teams have AVT [Alijah Vera-Tucker] above Sewell (Bucky Brooks, NFL Network)

4/6

  • Falcons split at 4, because HC Arthur Smith wants to stick with Matt Ryan but GM Terry Fontenot wants to pick a QB with the 4th pick; the QB they’d be targeting would be Lance (Chris Mortensen, ESPN)
  • Falcons are open to trading down from 4 and are fielding calls (Adam Schefter, ESPN)
  • Would be shocked if Jones wasn’t the pick at 3 (Adam Schefter, ESPN)
  • Can’t see Atlanta passing on a QB at 4 (Daniel Jeremiah, NFL Network) 
  • Wouldn’t rule out Lions taking a QB, maybe Fields if he’s there (Daniel Jeremiah, NFL Network) 
  • Expects [Christian] Barmore to be the only DT taken in Round 1 (Lance Zierlein, NFL Network) 
  • If no team trades into the top 10 for a QB, we could easily see a QB dropping then, maybe even all the way to New England (Lance Zierlein, NFL Network) 

4/7

  • If the Bengals don’t pick Sewell, he likely goes in the 10-15 range (Bucky Brooks, NFL Network) 
  • A lot of teams have Jamin Davis over [Micah] Parsons, and he could be the first LB taken; could go in the top 20 (Charlie Campbell, WalterFootball)
  • Some teams think Barmore is a top 15 talent; NFL way higher on him than media (Jim Nagy, Senior Bowl President)
  • Jones at 3 is not a given, looking 50/50 right now (Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network)
  • Jets are likely going offense at 23, but he knows that they like Teven Jenkins (who Pittsburgh likes as well) (Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network)
  • [Trevon] Moehrig-Woodard will be the first S off the board, likely in Round 1 (Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network)
  • Top 6 players off the board will be: 4 QBs, Chase, and Pitts (Albert Breer, Sports Illustrated)

4/8

  • Colts’ interest in [Christian] Darrisaw is real (Zak Keefer, The Athletic)
  • Buzz around the league is that Davis Mills is QB6, and he could go in Round 1 (Peter Schrager, NFL Network)
  • Teams are telling him Slater could very well go before Sewell (Peter Schrager, NFL Network)
  • Patriots have been connected to Mond (Jim McBride, The Boston Globe) 

4/9

  • Washington could sell the farm to move up for Lance (Michael Lombardi, The GM Shuffle Podcast)
  • All signs still point to Jones being the pick at 3 (Daniel Jeremiah, NFL Network) 
  • Washington is looking for a OT in Day 1 or 2 (John Keim, ESPN)

4/10

  • Caleb Farley was cleared in the medical re-checks, will go in Round 1 (Adam Schefter, ESPN)

4/12

  • It is unlikely that the right QB falls to Carolina but, if he does, they will pounce (Albert Breer, Sports Illustrated)
  • Denver could get aggressive at QB and isn’t all in on Lock (Albert Breer, Sports Illustrated)
  • Denver looking like QB at 9 or trade down (Peter King, NBC Sports)
  • 49ers haven’t made a decision yet but still guesses Jones (Peter King, NBC Sports)
  • Starting to think Trask has a good chance of being QB6 and also go in Round 1 (Peter King, NBC Sports)
  • Falcons won’t reach for a QB at 4; a number of league sources think they will go Pitts (Peter King, NBC Sports)
  • Eagles could trade back up for a QB (Jeremy Fowler, ESPN)
  • League is lower on Rousseau and [Jalen] Mayfield than public (Lance Zierlein, NFL Network)
  • Giants are looking hard into Edge Rusher; high on [Azeez] Ojulari, [Jaelan] Phillips, [Kwity] Paye (Jordan Raanan)

4/13 

  • Sewell is a lock to be picked in the top 10; Slater is likely to be top 10 too, and he may go to Carolina (Ralph Vacchiano)
  • Giants will take an Edge Rusher, unless Smith is there (Ralph Vacchiano)
  • Wilson is heavy favorite for Jets, but they are still considering Jones and Fields (Charlie Campbell, Walter Football)
  • Not sure Sewell is the top OT on the Panthers board (Benjamin Allbright)
  • Vikings will go EDGE unless one of the top OTs falls (Matt Miller, ESPN)

4/14

  • Some in the league think QB is still in play for Carolina (Dane Brugler, The Athletic)
  • Denver won’t trade up but will take a top QB if one falls to 9 (Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network) 
  • Cowboys will take Sewell if he’s there, otherwise Surtain II or Horn; could also trade down with a QB-needy team (like Chicago) and take Darrisaw or [Zaven] Collins later (Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network)
  • Washington could move up to 8 or 9 to take a QB; however, they might just take Davis Mills, who they like a lot, in Round 2 instead (Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network)
  • Horn will be CB1, followed by Surtain II and then maybe [Greg] Newsome II (Benjamin Allbright)
  • A lot of buzz lately connecting Fields to SF (Benjamin Allbright)

4/15

  • 98% of teams say SF picking Jones (Michael Lombardi)
  • Tier 2 QBs will go earlier than expected, with Mills, Mond, and Trask all going on Day 2 (Lance Zierlein, NFL Network)

4/16

  • Eagles are trying to trade up, with Jaylen Waddle in mind (Ben Standig, The Athletic)
  • Washington, Chicago, and New England could all move up for a QB; if they miss out, Chicago really like Davis Mills and New England could pick Kellen Mond in Round 2 (Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network) 
  • Would be surprised if Jamin Davis, [Jayson] Oweh, Bolton and Rousseau go in Round 1; expects [Rashod] Bateman, [Carlos] Basham Jr., [Alex] Leatherwood, and [Creed] Humphrey to go in Round 1 (Eric Galko)
