The Silver and Black won another overtime thriller in Seattle on Sunday. Running Back Josh Jacobs finished with a career-high 229 yards rushing and two touchdowns, while Quarterback Derek Carr threw for 295 passing yards and three touchdowns, including a game-tying touchdown to Tight End, Foster Moreau late in the fourth quarter.

In Overtime, Jacobs broke for an 86-yard touchdown to give the Raiders the victory, and the team has now won two in a row and improved to 4-7. Jacobs continues to add to his monster year and is now leading the NFL in rushing with 1,159 yards to go along with nine rushing touchdowns.
When asked what it means for Jacobs to be able to put his body through what he’s putting it through and leading the team like he is, what does it just tell you about the man and the leader that he is? “He’s very unselfish,” said McDaniels on Monday. “He’ll do whatever we ask him to do. Like I said, I’ve said this many times, he practices great. I would say this, the great players that I’ve been around, they’re that way for a reason. And they love football, they study it. They prepare hard. They practice like they’re playing. And they’re durable, they’re out there every day. They’re available for their team. I mean, that’s what this guy is. He’s tough as they come, takes a lot of hits, keeps coming, plays his best in the second half almost every week. Like I said, I’m running out of terms here. But when you describe somebody as a football player, I mean, that’s what he is, and so he knows how I feel about him.”

This Sunday, the Raiders have a big game against their divisional rival, the Los Angeles Chargers. The last time the Chargers played in Las Vegas, it was an overtime thriller where the Raider eliminated the Chargers from the playoffs. If the Raiders want to make the postseason this year, they will likely need to win out the rest of the way. Jacobs was dealing with a calf injury before the Seahawks game and now hopes to play against the Chargers this Sunday and will receive “around-the-clock treatment” to do so, according to Tom Pelissero. As of now, he will be a game-time decision to play.
