Andrew Vorhees is a fifth-year senior displaying power, footwork, and good violent hand placement at the point of contact against defenders at the guard position. Vorhees has played the Left Tackle position for a game and some plays to display flexibility on the offensive line.

Strengths

Vorhees displays power by sinking his hips and driving defenders back with full hands extended, with the footwork to laterally block swim moves or stunt schemes where another defensive lineman would attempt to penetrate his blocking assignment. He’s violent and mobile in run blocking by initiating contact on defenders and finishing his assignment while looking for more defenders to block. Vorhees has the mobility to pull on counter plays or toss plays, as he finds his assignment to block, with the technical skills to set his feet and create an alley or gap for running backs to run through. His hand placement in pass protection is exceptional, as he keeps them inside, with proper technique to block defenders off their target by extending his hand on the inside shoulder to make defenders over-rush past their target.
